This explains what happens to your details if you send me an enquiry through this site. It is deliberately short, because there is not much to it — I collect what I need to reply to you and nothing else.

Who I am

GrowthFrame is a sole trader business based in Wolverhampton, West Midlands. I am the data controller for anything you send through this site.

Email: hello@growthframe.co.uk
Registered with the Information Commissioner's Office. If you want the registration number, ask and I'll send it — it is also searchable on the ICO's public register.

What I collect

Only what you type into the enquiry form:

  • Your name
  • Your business name, if you give it
  • Which trade you are in
  • Your email address
  • Your phone number, only if you choose to add it
  • Whatever you write in the message box

Cloudflare, which serves this site, also processes your IP address and basic request information in order to deliver the page and to block abuse. That happens for every visitor, whether or not you fill anything in.

This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics. There is no tracking pixel, no advertising tag, and nothing that follows you to other websites.

Two things do need JavaScript. The enquiry form's send button is one. The other is the email address in the footer: Cloudflare masks it against address harvesters and puts it back with a small script of their own, so with JavaScript off you will see [email protected] there instead of the address. Nothing else on the site depends on a script running.

Why I have it, and the lawful basis

I use your details to reply to your enquiry and to have the conversation that follows from it. The lawful basis is legitimate interests — you have contacted a business asking about its service, and replying to you is the obvious and expected thing to do with what you sent.

If you go on to become a client, the basis for the details I need to do the work and invoice you becomes performance of a contract, and keeping the financial records becomes a legal obligation.

I do not use your details for marketing, I do not add you to a mailing list, and I do not sell or share them with anyone for their own purposes.

How long it is kept

  • If you enquire and nothing comes of it: the email stays in my inbox while we are talking and for twelve months after the last message either of us sends, then it is deleted.
  • If you become a client: for as long as I am working for you, and then six years after the end of the last tax year we did business in — that period is set by HMRC's record-keeping rules, not by me.
  • If you ask me to delete it sooner: I will, unless it is something I am legally required to keep, in which case I will tell you exactly what and why.

Who else processes it

Three companies handle your details on my behalf, as processors:

  • Cloudflare — hosts this site and runs the small piece of code that receives the enquiry form and turns it into an email.
  • Resend — sends the two emails that follow: the one that reaches me, and the automatic confirmation that comes back to you.
  • Google — my email inbox, where your enquiry lands and where the conversation between us lives.

All three operate outside the UK as well as within it. Where your details leave the UK they do so under the data processing agreements I hold with each of them, which incorporate the standard contractual clauses and the UK addendum to them.

If you book a call through the calendar on this site, that calendar is provided by Cal.com, who process your name, email address and the time you pick in order to put the appointment in both our diaries.

What you can ask me to do

You can ask me to show you what I hold, correct it, delete it, hand it over in a portable format, or stop using it. You can also object to my relying on legitimate interests, and if you do I have to stop unless I can show a good reason not to.

Email hello@growthframe.co.uk and say what you want. There is no form to fill in and it costs nothing. I will do it and confirm back to you within one month. For deletion specifically: say "delete my details" and I will remove the enquiry and the email thread it came from, then tell you when it is done.

If you are not happy with how I have handled it

Tell me first and I will try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at any point, at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.

Changes to this notice

If this changes, the date at the top changes with it. There is no version history to dig through — if something material changes and it affects an enquiry you have already sent, I will email you about it rather than quietly editing the page.
